Acceptance
By using Folio, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
Folio is a client-side web application for PDF imposition and bookbinding preparation. All processing happens in your browser. We do not store, transmit, or access your PDF files.
Free tier
The free tier includes unlimited use of Print & Fold mode and 5 free Guided Binder exports, counted by unique source file, for the lifetime of your account. Re-exporting the same PDF after adjusting settings never uses another export. The allowance does not reset. We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits with reasonable notice.
Pro tier
Pro is available as a monthly subscription ($7/month) or annual subscription ($48/year — $4/month equivalent). Subscriptions are managed by Clerk Billing, with Stripe as the payment processor; card details are entered on Stripe-operated forms and never touch Folio's code. Pro provides unlimited Guided Binder exports and exporting from Expert Layout. The Expert Layout interface itself is free to explore without a subscription.
Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep Pro access until then. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion. If you have a concern, email us at hello@folioimposition.com and we'll sort it out. Refunds, when issued, are processed through Stripe.
Your content
You retain all rights to your PDFs and generated output. Folio does not claim any ownership or license over your content. Since processing is entirely client-side, we never have access to it.
Disclaimer
Folio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the output will be free from errors. Always verify your imposed PDFs before printing, especially for large or important print runs.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, announced by email.
